So I requested cancellation of my ADSL and analogue line on 30 November 2015 to be effective 31 December 2015 as I am moving end off December. You can only send the request to their cancellations mail box and you have to give 20 business day notice and have to complete a request form. As at 9 December I received no feedback and resent the request to the mail box.

Yesterday a consultant phones me and disputes with me that I requested on 9 December and therefore I can't cancel 31 December. After explaining to him how a calendar works and that 30 November, my initial request, was well within 20 days he said he will cancel it. He phones back and said he has logged the cancellation for ADSL and data. I do not have data with them so no idea how he cancels the non existent..... I then asked about the analogue line and he said that as per our agreement he did not cancel it? I politely explained to him what it means when some is moving and that per my email, request form and our earlier telephone call I requested everything to be cancelled. Got home yesterday and my line is completely dead.

Spoke to support, billing and sales now and it seems that this moron managed to cancel everything yesterday. How the hell can it be cancelled yesterday as that would be in contravention of their own 20 business day notification in their T&Cs?

Sales confirms I can do nothing as I have to reapply for everything and it can take up to 21 business days to action a new account. Is there anyone that can help or knows what the hell I can do to get my account unsuspended till 31 December? I am going on leave today and staying at home so won't be able to function without internet till the new year. I can phone cancellations as they only work on mail, which I already sent to them yesterday.

Left them a snarky email yesterday evening and they just phoned. Consultant reinstated the line and issued cancelation as per my request. Now to see if it has actually been resolved once I get home.
