I seems they have again lowered the cap on the 3GB account, in the past it was a generous 6GB, then last year somewhere they lowered it to 5GB, and now I got capped at 4.5GB.

Anyone else experiencing this? If this is the case then they are no longer of value to me. I only stayed with them cause they were value for money, pay for 3GB and got 5GB, but anything lower than 5GB then I might as well switch over to another ISP.

SAOL and AXXESS caps sharply.
I was just gone over 30MB and 10MB respectively on their accounts.
I think Telkom is still generous? :)

Telkom's policy is to give 150% on the account, ie 3+150%=4.5GB... You should remember that the 150% comes out of a bandwidth pool- the more people swim in the pool, the less there is for everyone.

I was looking at the Telkom website.
But could not find any ISP offerings.
Do they only offer DoBroadband packages and not ISP accounts?

Spoke to a telkom tech today, the reason for the 150% bandwith is to compensate for any downtime on their side. He said very friendly, "its like a gift from us to you" :D

A "Gift" Thats infinitely more expensive than the international norm...
