Telkom have said that they are changing things in August, when're they actually going to announce the changes they're making?

Haha, well... the pricing is as follows:

What's the dif between Home and Business ADSL 512?

I am hoping the changes are for the better. If Telkom is however as sneaky as they almost always are, they will break the legs of the service in some form to make up their perceived loss... they will either excessively cap to encourage people to buy more bandwidth or they will increase shaping to force people to pay a premium for unshaped bandwidth. The whole SHAPING scenario is a farce anyway and I encourage all who reads this to watch and listen to the recordings we made on the 1st day of te DOC colloquium in Midrand as soon as it is up.

They're both both R477/mo from august for some unknown reason.. why biz and home is the same price is beyond me or probably any other human being.

IMO they drpooed bsuiness to r477 so they can tell the businesses, who are going to be the first to be approached by the sno, hey look - we just dropped your connection fee by 31%.

They can try all they want, got 2 new leads today for Uninet (one in Tableview and one in Killarney Gardens) - both companies are very well off and the owners say that DSL is a complete robbery.. so in comes Uninet with their lower prices. And I will convince everyone I can to not use Telkom until (in MY opinion) they are acceptable. Yes its a hell of a stretch for them to offer what I would call a reasonable price but stranger things have happened.

Come the SNO there will be much work to do converting as many people as possible over from telscum and their rubbish prices. To be honest I can't wait to get everyone away from them.

Yes, South Africa is the only place one 512k line can be faster than another 512k line.

According to the icasa hearings they charged more for 'business dsl' than 'home' due to setup and service times, if i remember correctly, a blatant extra cost added for nada yet again.

only in SA can a 384k line be faster than a 512k

lol no what i meant by my first post it, when are telkom going to publicy state all the changes and new services they're going to offer? Surely if they're being released on the 1st of August, they'd advertise for the products before hand? I Mean I kno they've advertised the new DSL prices, but all the other things they're mentioned in various statements that they're planning on releasing comes august the first *?*
