Telkom Digging

Hi Guys I see Telkom has been digging up the pavements in our area (Villieria, Pretoria) the past week or so anyone know what they are doing?

Telkom is digging all over Pretoria, I live in Fearie Glen and they are very busy around here aswell. They are expanding there network for fiber to the Edge... This is all for the prep for SNO.

They're digging holes to bury their millions...

Had the same thing last year in Silverton, they put in a couple of fibre cables.

Whilst on this subject, I'm wondering how much hellskommels will be charging for "tripple play" if this is what the fibre is for... but I will laugh my a$$ off should their planned projects never see the light of day should some serious competition enters ZA...

Its like paying R400 rands a month or somthing like that (intrnationaly atleast) and getting Cable TV, a Flat rate phone service and a fast broadband service off one line. Knowing telkom though they will set a such a "affordable" price of lets say 1600+ rands...
