Telkom Disconnects

Had my uncapped 1 meg trial installed last saturday.
The internet keeps disconnecting and i have to turn off the router or take the line straight from the telkom box to the router instead of taking it to the routers adapter and then to router.
Any ideas what the problem is?
Line or router? It is frustrating and sometimes takes up to two hours before i get connected again!

Do you have a filter on your Router and telephone? If yes check the filter as well as log onto your router and post your router stats

It will be a page that will show your SNR margins/ SNR and attenuation and line speeds.

Filter would be the box the phone line goes into that splits to adsl and phone right?
Will check stats when i get home.
