Telkom doesn't know whats going on

This morning I phoned Telkom to log a call. I cannot get an internet connection (PPP) on my line. Told them DSL is working though. Asked them to check if DSLAM is problematic. Techie checked and told me DSLAM is OK. I know for a fact that it is not, but I humour his requests for modem reset etc etc.

He then suggested that I reset my modem to factory defaults, and that he would call me back in 5 minutes. That was 12:15, I am still waiting. Glad I don't have his watch, 5 minutes takes f@cking hours to go by.

Anyway, logged on with my cellphone, just for interest sake checked the Telkom ADSL notifications on this forum and there it is:
