I ordered on Tuesday a 1 GB ADSL complete package from Webafrica for my Dad.

Tuesday night I connected the modem, and it did synch.

The status at WA of the order remained that it was with Telkom.

On Thursday, I enquired from WA why no progress as the ADSL was already working. WA's feedback was that they were waiting fdor Telkom, and until Telkom gives them the Ok, I would only be able to connect to the Telkom and DoBroadband sites.

Thursday night, I connected with another WA account, and indeed, I could browse the Telkom and DoBroadband sites and nothing else.

Is Telkom delaying service to the resellers?

Is Telkom tempting me to ditch WA and take on doBroadband?

Is this an anti-competitive practice?

Try verifying your line. I know I did the self install and after 1 day i could sync and then I had to verify so that I could use properly. So connect and go to http://www.telkom.co.za/verifyadsl You need your land line number and order number with telkom maybe ask WA for your order number with telkom.

Try maybe it works

It has to be signed off by Telkom before WA will give you your details.

The verification system is ****ed at the moment. I've been trying to verify my CEO's line since 12:00PM yesterday.
