Telkom DSL-2750U Firmware

I'm considering getting one of these, is it any good? Got a cheapie netgear at the moment and I just want something that's "solid".

It's a cheapie dlink, very much like the cheapie netgear. It's the luck of the draw, you get a bad one, and you just have to live with it

Latest Firmware for DSL-2750U T1:

Telkom = AF_1.73_T10 (my Recommendation)
Retail == AF_1.76_R01

Although the Retail version is newer (1.76) - the Telkom version (1.73) has been tested with the Telkom Router.
I therefore choose to use the Telkom Firmware (1.73).

I'm running Retail as well, seems a lot more stable.

Hi,

Anyone know where I can obtain the latest firmware for a Telkom issued DSL-2750U ADSL modem?

I'm hoping a reply here will be quicker then calling Telkom :D
I don't see it noted anywhere in this thread, but Telkom pushes out firmware updates (via TR-069) to all supported modems as and when needed (prioritising security and compatibility issues). If that is your concern, you may be best served on the Telkom firmware (unless you are experiencing a problem which is definitely fixed in a version newer than your modem has).

(I haven't tried the 'Retail' firmware - haven't seen any need to, so I don't know if it gets updates, some resellers of some OEMs in SA do have their own TR-069 servers to support stock modems)

I'm running two connections in two 2750u routers at 2 sites - one for internet and the other a VPN.

What seems to be happen is that both sites will show both connections as connected, and site A can ping site B, but not the other way around, so site B can't use a network resource. Solutions that fixes the problem for a while is rebooting the router at site A.

Used to happen once in a while, but I see that it is happening every day, and sometimes more than once a day.

Just downloaded the firmware 2 posts above and will update both routers and see...

Hi ,

Sorry a few years late to this party but hopefully someone can help me.

I just got a one of these routers after mine gave up and would like to upgrade it, the problem is the file linked here

ftp://ftp.d-link.co.za/DSL/DSL-2750...n T/T1/DSL-2750U_Firmware_AF_1.76_R01 LATEST/

doesn't seem to work, I get the following return from the router

can anyone help?
It is what it says. You are using the wrong page to upload the firmware. You are using the backup/restore settings page , not the firmware update page
