Telkom DSL package name changes

Don't know when this happened, but just saw this on the telkom web site:


The DSL offerings will henceforth be known as;

Fast DSL - now only R152.00 p/m
(based on 384kbps technology)

Faster DSL - now only R326.00 p/m
(based on 512kbps technology)

Fastest DSL - now only R413.00 p/m
(based on 4096kbps technology)

LOL!, dudes, I'm on the fastest DSL package ;) :D :p
 
heheh - so by their wording you can't get any faster than 4MB :( What are they going to call a 8MB line if it ever comes out ....fastestest :p
 
hehe - you weren't far off with the "Me hereby trademarks Telkom ADSL Slow™, Slower™, and Slowest™"

imagine telling an American that you are using "fastest" dsl running at 4mbs... he will crap himself a little island from all the laughter!
 
So I've got "Fast" ADSL? I beg to differ!!! 384 should be renamed "Go Slow" ADSL. <mumble>

I would call them slow, slower, slowest
 
I can just see Telkom abusing this.
"Hi I want to order DSL please"
blah blah blah, Do you want to go for the faster DSL so that you can do your email faster?
"Sounds good yea"

At least the old names told me something, now the new names is assuring my subconscious mind that I have FAST DSL! yay :(
