Telkom e-mail issues

My email was down about a week ago and when I queried it Telkom said it was a nationwide issue. After a few days it was resolved. However I am not getting my regular subscription emails one of which is from Telkom re my ADSL usage.
When I log on to the usage tracker it won't recognise my username/password. Telkom wants me to change my password but I am hesistant to do this as these are my main access details which are input into the router so the password must be working as I have internet access.
I went back to the mails I subscribed to and re-subscribed with my Telkom email and a Gmail. Lo and behold the Gmail comes through but not Telkom. I am getting ad-hoc mail so my email is working. Just none of my daily subscriptions are coming through and I can't track my usage.
Anyone able to shed some light?

The passwords can be different. You can now access the password tool through TI Tracker and set a new password for the mailbox only, your router is the first password on the page so don't touch.

Changing my email password won't give me access to the TI tracker will it? I can't access the TI tracker even using the main access details that are working in my router
 
Thanks I did see that. I'm just not sure what effect changing passwordswill have as my email and ADSL are both working aside from the issues I mentioned at first.
When did the problem with the usage mails start as I've just noticed that I also only received reports for about 50% of my TI clients last night?

Weirder & weirder.

I also don't see how changing your email password will help, maybe PM ranger with your account details and see if he can assist if you're still getting nowhere with 10210.

There was no 'national email outage'. That seems to be call centre code for 'I need to take a break'.

Then I think you may have confused them.

Please log in via pmt (https://online.telkomsa.net) and check which usernames you see there, you can log in to PMT with either email or dsl username.

You can only log in to the following with your DSL username/password: tracker, DSL, and userstats

If you really have your email username/password on your modem, the it probably is taking hours to 'authenticate'.
 
I am told that telkomsa.net servers are blacklisted at certain places such as Yahoo and Hotmail. Also by blackcop and mimecraft.

Anybody know about this? I have had telkomsa.net e-mail problems since about 21st August.
