Hi All,

I've got a telkom techie comming over on Tuesday to install my ADSL line ... the call desk twit told me that I have to be avaliable the whole of tuesday .. I told them that I work but obviously work is a concept foreign to telkom employees ...

Is there any way of guessing when the guy might come around or do I seriously have to take a day off work to wait the whole day for a twit who will show up at 17:35 ... ??

Well what can you do ... it just sucks big time ... but I guess I should be glad that they at least installing it ...

I've had two installs done and in both cases the tech called first to make arrangements for time. I didn't have to hang around all day and they pitched more or less at the right time.

I called every day and sometime twice a day ... when a twit on the other side told me no .. I just put down the phone and called again ... and usually I got a diffrent answer .. so I just went with the people who had good news for me ..... I now have 3 phone numbers to call, 7ppls names who were going to call me back (still waiting) and 2 reference numbers for the same line ...

Funny .. or rather Very sad but true ...

I had my DSL line installed in the morning as my dad arranged for that to happen.

So my bet. Wait till around 11:00-12:00
