I well remember the arguments we had about them 2 towers ..... The one was supposed come down years ago, and it is still there. The place used to depend on that microwave system before the fibre routes were established.

Do you guys know if this exchange supports 20Mb ADSL2+? Speedchecker says max 10meg but since 20meg is only R25 more expensive than 10 it's a waste not to attempt it.

Telkom coverage and speed checker says very definitively that max is 10meg, good to know it's still not being updated even tho it looks fancy;)

Won't go VDSL, just bought a fancy ADSL modem/router, will hold out for fibre as 20meg is already plenty fast enough for me!
 
I recently was involved where a temporary ADSL connection was required. The "official" view was only 4 Mbps, the unofficial situation was " up to 10 Mbps" was available based on the equipment installed.

We ended up being able to get 5 x 4 Mbps ADSL lines , all actually running at 10 Mbps bonded together and we provided a spectacular temporary connection for a conference that way.

So what the bosses know is not always what can be done when the techies get together and solve a problem properly.
