Hi everyone

I posting so that i can get a reply
form the new TELKOM representative on mybroadband

I have purchased the UNISA 3g package for student.
My experience so far has been terrible when it comes to client
communication satisfaction. I will tell you why

If you go to this link

https://my.unisa.ac.za/portal/site/!gateway/page/a25e3b0b-3deb-42b9-aaee-0f94a8ec8790

under unused data it is clearly stated that unused data will carry for one month
meaning you have two months to use data that is allocated to you.
The terms and condition do don't mention anything about being prorated
if you contract start in the middle of the month.

This is also true under the TERMS and CONDITIONS from the reply email,
stating the term and condition in full.

I applied for this contract on the 1 of august 2013, but inquired about it from the
TELKOM call center. This only resulted in call center agents telling me the don't know
anything about this package, and that i must request information about it from the third party
<UNISA> who is the contract party.

On the 1 august after paying i went to the 8ta shop to inquire how will i have to wait until i
can collect the sim card. Since i have to wait for TELKOM respond to me via email. This email
provides information that i can collect the sim card at 8ta store or TELKOM direct store.

The 8ta agent told me the don't know about the product i will have to wait until i get the
confirmation email. On the 8 August 2013 i received a sms confirming that i can collect the
sim card from TELKOM direct or 8ta store.

I happily went to both store to only be told that i can't collect my sim card since 8ta don't know
the product or how to release the sim card. TELKOM direct store told me that they received an email
about the product, but they are waiting for instructions on how to release the sim cards.

For the whole week i have been going to TELKOM direct to find out if the sim cards are ready,
which resulted in one agent giving me the sim card on 14 august 2013, but told me that she would activate the
the sim card during the course of the day. She inquired about the process form a colleague from
different store until a call center agent was able to activate the sim card two day later 16 august 2013.

I was happy for about 3 hour until i depleted my data allocation, which was wrong after inquiring how much was loaded on my sim card from call center agent. The agent told me it was 1gig day data and 1gig night data,
the day data was prorated to 500 mb due to sim activation starting on 16 august 2013. TELKOM contract policy which TELKOM and UNISA failed to disclose says that if a contract starts in the middle of the month. You forfeit half of the data you suppose to get. I inquired first saying that my data package was wrong. The agent told me
that i will have to go back to the store where i got this contract.

So i went on Saturday (17 August 2013) to only find out that TELKOM direct store on Saturday runs on skeleton staff who will ask you to come back during the week since the is no manager. I later resorted to calling the call center and an agent was able to log a query for me.

During the week i kept on call the call center to find out how soon they would be able to resolve the matter.
I even got hold of the person who sms me on (8 august 2013), that i could collect the sim card form 8ta store or TEKLOM direct store. They were only able to resolve the matter on Friday 23 august 2013. I only find out the was data loaded when i connect the sim card and started to use it. This was after i was told by a call center agent that his manager will call me back after an hour. He/She never did.

TELKOM only loaded 3gig the did not load the rest of the data since they prorating me, something they
failed to disclose. I found out that my data was short in the middle of the week, when i tried to use rest of
it. On Wednesday i found out, about the added data that is was short and after talking with the manager he
told me that UNISA needs to send my query, since they are the account holder.

I going to UNISA to resolve this since i could not get a contact details via the website, and also they tend
not to respond to emails i send.

Today i called the call center to confirm the unused data claw, to find out if data will be carried for one month like the T&C on UNISA website and TELKOM email document. I found out that this is not true, and after being bounced around to three different agents, and talking for 40 minute. The only thing i got is ref number which will
be resolved after 72 hours or three days

What i want is for TELKOM to honor their T&C and give me my data that i have forfeited due to their departments, not being to handle product allocation properly. As TELKOM did not disclose their pro-rater policy on their contracts before contract initiation.
