Telkom Fibre D-Link Optimal settings

Hi all

I recently installed Fibre (I'm in Douglasdale) only to find that it's worse than my old ADSL. Yikes.
It keeps on dropping the connection. They gave me a free D-Link xDSL Router and a Huawei.

Before I ask Telkom to take them back - can anyone tell me what the optimal settings are for me to try on the D-Link Router set up?
