My little saga of trying to cancel my ISP charges seems to have been resolved, in an odd way.
I just checked my latest statement again - I had briefly checked it before flying into a blind rage after once again seeing :-
TIPA Advanced 3GB Shaped
I also saw that it was an amount for R947.75
What I didn't check, due to my anger and chucking the bill in my files and forgetting about it until today, is that this months bill is only R108.60 and last months is the R839.15
Hmmm - seems like eventually, after visiting their shop 5 times, phoning countless times and getting a few gray hairs, that Telkom finally got the message that I cancelled the ISP portion of my account.
It only took them 3 months to get it right, things must be improving.
So, I got "back" R730.55, which is still a bit "iffy" - I think Telkom are scoring R16 on the deal
And ooooh lookie here, related to Debbie2's Telkom interest post, on the bill : -

So, they've charged me interest on an account in dispute because it was overdue. Interesting.
Well, now I have to try to cancel my phone service on the 16th of this month - that should be fun. Either they'll cut me off on the 17th instead of the end of the month, or they will neglect to disconnect me altogether and keep billing me.
Ahhh, the joys of a bureaucracy !
