Please explain again.

B40 which is 2300Mhz is the band that Telkom uses for their fixed LTE broadband service and it is for their LTE-A or LTE advanced network which significantly (YMMV in this instance based on where you live by the way) increases your speed.

Telkom told me that their R999 lte deal was only available on the B40 band.
That's fine but then the upload is almost non-existent. I then add B3 and B40 on the D-link 956M and I can at least upload some files, but the download suffers when I use the two bands together.
So back to only B40.
Yes B1, I have tried but not B20. Will experiment with it. Thank you.

on the telkom R999 deal, i dont even use it in the area i registered for as they said my tower was congested. I can use any band now and it normally runs at 30-40mbps

Unfortunately Band 20 is temporary spectrum given to Telkom for Lockdown. IT's a very nice allocation and has increased Telkoms LTE footprint because it's a low frequency band which penetrates buildings better.

It does not unfortunately however the -22d does and supports aggregation b1+b20 and b3+b20

When I do a grid search for Telkom bands where I live, I only get B3 and B40, if I have to use other bands the speed is not so good as compared to B3 and B40, 1 more thing, why is it that when the do a speed test with speedtest.net , I am getting speeds of 40mbps, but when using a tv box I get speed of 5mbps (dl)
