217GB's from 1st to 23rd is quite a bit of data over that short space of time.. as im not an ADSL user yet, is that normal? Im assuming alot of that is downloads? yes?

interesting, so if that is below average on a 4MB line, what is Telkoms threshold on an uncapped package? Is this because downloads during the day causes more issues, slowing down of bandwith than say streaming or so?

There is ho hard value as far as I know, they probably use some sort of formula that takes into consideration your usage during the 07:00-00:00 time period.

They do the nightsurfer thing to encourage users to change their download habits. p2p traffic places heavy loads on a network and they would prefer everybody getting a good experience during normal hours.

You can do a schiteload of downloading during nightsurfer time &voutside that time stream tv/movies at night, do youtube, browsing, music, smaller downloads etc during the day and you will be fine.

again interesting that there is no hard value ie 100GB and you will be shaped or throttled down on an uncapped package. It is nicer to know though that if you reach 200GBs you will now be managed, as opposed to not knowing.
