Our esteemed company of geniuses has done it again. They are so busy shaping ports, blocking whatever they can that they just do as they please.

Since a couple of days ago the idiots blocked/shape the port that MSFrontpage publish on. Are they mad? Now I know MSFrontpage is not the best publishing tool in the world, but it’s the easiest tool to teach to clients that insist on making changes to their own websites, without using a CMS.

So yesterday I realize it and after loads of client rang me to say they can’t connect to their websites using Frontpage – I first rang Telkom/SAIX – they said they didn’t make any changes.
I went through the whole practice of re-installing MS Sharepoint on all the servers again – but nothing.

Later that night a guy from Telkom/SAIX rang to say that some changes actually were made a couple of days ago, but they will try to sort it out.

I see it coming: One of these days Telkom will send us an email saying that in an effort to lower bandwidth usage they will have to shape the ports for emails and browsing as well as everything else.

THESE IDIOTS WILL EFFECTIVELY BLOCK THE INTERNET ONE OF THESE DAYS.

Exactly - power to teklom - handed to them on a platter from governmint and still supported by governmint.
i.e. Governmint want to block us from the internet one of these days ...

Skype had deteriorated somewhat in recent days too. Anybody else pick up on this?

Telkom Mathematics 113:

Less internet = More profit.
Therefore, the less service you give customers, the more money you make. It's just another subtle way off giving you less for more. Little by little telkom tries to give less and less to the public. They counteract the negative feelings with massive media campaigns spouting "ADSL is cheap! ADSL is sooo fast!". Little by little they are screwing us ever so little more every day.
