I dont know if this has been mentioned before. There is a guy here at work that I help with his home network and his adsl.

He had a small problem last night and could not get a hold of me on the phone so he phoned telkom help line as it was an e-mail problem, and you know what they told him, TO RE-INSTALL WINDOWS not office windows.

I actually cant believe they told someone to do that, luckely he had the smarts not to do it without talking to me.

I dont really like Telkom all that much...

hmmmmmmmm, let me guess... Telkom told you to re-install Windows to fix your email. If that does not work, try rebooting the microwave. That usally helps me ;)

Hear THis!!!

I'm a IT profesional in the industry for 6 years allready.

I've been working with Routers, Switches, Servers etc.
Not too long ago, I did a installation for a client at his office (ADSL)

The Whole system worked fine for a month.

After the first month problems started developing on the telkom line side.
I detected with Ping Plotter Pro that there is a Major fault on the ADSL side of the Line.

So LAter on Telkom send their TEch. checking and telling the Client.
There's absolutly No fault on the ADSL line. The Problem is.

That I've put the Filter for the ADSL the Wrong Way in.

I mean!@#$$^& Who does the tech think I am.
He'ss a total dumbass.

In the event you don't receive adequate assistance from the TelkomInternet call centre, please ask for the name and/or employee number of the agent, and send the detail (including date and time of the call) to [email protected].

And the moral of the story is what ???
who fixed the fault ????

Moral of the story is: How can Telkom tel clients that there is no fault on the adsl when.
all the tests has been done and put on paper with graphs? witch does show faults.

Any way problem has not been solved, client took out his adsl line and took wireless instead.
because I've found out that the area were the client is has got bad adsl line bandwith
