Hey Guys

Hope some one here can help me with my issues possibly giving me a contact to deal with inside telkom.

Location: Durban, New Germany

Let me explain since the 26th of last month i have had latency issues like you cant imagine getting so bad i get a 6s ping to myBB yes 6 SECONDS NOT MS.

I have tried the following.

New Router
Port Reset
Line speed reduction
Afrihost, Mweb, WA, Telkom, Telkom guest acc.All do the same thing
Replaced all cables and posts filters
Tried 4 different to PC
Confirmed its not congestion (more on this if you ask me)

Today a telkom techie come to my house, i showed him a few thing and he said he would go look at the exchange and get back to me, he then came back and told me he found the issue and its sorted only to have me show him a ping on 2375ms to telkom.co.za, he then tells me that he will hand it over to the DSLAM divison and they will contact me.

I dont hold much hope for this so hence why i am post here in the hopes that some one can help me.

Here are images of various tests i have run over the last 2 weeks

Update 1: (3rd - now)
Up till now i have had a total of 7 Telkom technicians at my house, they have or say they have replaced the cables from my house till the exchange. Leading me to think that its a issue at the exchange this however has been confirmed not to be congestion. I don't know what my next step should be. Any suggestions.

I have sent through Email to the CO`s PA in Johannesburg and i am awaiting a response.

For those who suggest talking to TelkomSA on this site i am in the process of doing that but it seems that even they close faults faster then even he can open them.

PLEASE I really need this issue sorted out now.

Sounds very dodgy

"Tried 4 different to PC" by that I assume you tried 4 different PCs?

I must say I don't think telkom would swop out the copper from your house to the exchange, but I may be wrong...

Yes sorry meant 4 different PC`s.

I did see them digging and placing new cable on my street that i can say but its done nothing for the issue. The hole is still open with Telkom tape around it now. As well as there is a large Roll of what i assume they are putting in or have taken out so i dont know.

I doubt whether it will help, but one thing that I have learnt [the very hard way] is to unplug all devices - other than the router - when testing.

In my case it was a handset causing the problems.

I have tried this yea, including the alarm system.
I even got an extension cord plugged my router in with a brand new 1m Phone cable and run it on my laptop, still same thing.

Update: Today

Get a call from telkom i am away so my mother gets it and is told the following.

And i quote "My line is the way it is cause too many games are being played on it"
I didn't think it could get any worse...
