Hi All

Wondering if someone can help me with a Telkom question.

Whats the easiest way to get Telkom to cable / install cables in a complex if it hasnt been done yet?

Get permission from your body corporate first as they must dig up the roads!!!

Not gonna happen soon. In Midrand complexes have been waiting 5+ years for Telkom cables...

Speak to everyone in the complex and get them to apply for a Telkom line.
Speak to body corporate/estate management and get them to speak to Telkom.
Once >50% of the complex have applied for a line, it gets on a list at Telkom to discuss feasibility.
One year later, you get a phone call from Telkom saying your request has been declined due to lack of infrastructure.
Three years later, out of nowhere Telkom techies are installing that ugly green and blue box.
Six months later once installations are complete, you'll be asked to request a Telkom line again.
Two months later you'll (hopefully) have your line connected.

Haha so the guy is gonna wait at least 5 years :D

I've tried Wimax. Closest tower is Honeydew. Only got 3 out of 7 bars signal because of the big hill. They need 5.

So i'm stuck!

They apparently said this year it will be cabled. So lets see what happens.

Thanks for the advice guys!
