My sister has TI ADSL with a TI data account. Still worked last night but not this morning. Logging on to TI usage tracking tool displays: "The account is currently suspended." Spoke to very aggressive operator at TI accounts that informed me that an undisclosed number of TI users has not been billed for the data portion due to a technical error. He said they can't contact all the customers, there's too many of them, so they wait for your account to be suspended and the subsequent call in order to create a new account :confused: Better check your account to see if you were billed!

You can take Telkom out of the Post Office, but you can't take the Post Office out of Telkom ;)

What type of TI account - capped, uncapped ?

Is it one of the 3mth trial accounts, if not how long has she had it?

The way they work the trial accounts is they credit your account with the cash value for 3 months ADSL...they still bill you normally.

Thanks for the interest MickZA. She's got a do Level 2 package, for the last two years. I checked her account for the last 3 month, only the DSL Fast Bundle item appears on the statement, the TI-AllAccess entry is missing. Account is in good standing. TI operator said all the consultants are aware of the problem.
 
Thanks for the feedback DearHeart, I'll alert my TI clients to this potential problem.

I must say it's a very unprofessional way of resolving the problem that Telkom has adopted.
 
This is nothing, I've had my Telkom account closed. Not suspended, not cancelled, not disconnected cause of non-payment, just simply closed. Here one day, gone the next. Now you have it, now you don't. Without reason, without explanation.

Like I say it's Telkom ..

Ouch, adding insult to injury :sick: Listen to this one... A client came home early one day and found two Telkom techies in his backyard having a braai! They were working on a pole and decided, since no-one is home, and there is plenty of wood, who will ever know ;0)
