Telkom internet entertainment add on bundle

My adsl data is all finished for the month, I just saw there is an add on entertainment bundle at R99, does it work for Dstv now?

My adsl data is all finished for the month, I just saw there is an add on entertainment bundle at R99, does it work for Dstv now?

No, it does not work (for anything). They advertise it on their web page: "https://secure.telkom.co.za/today/shop/plan/entertainmentbolton/". It makes pretty good reading and seems very attractive. BUT - - - - - would you believe: none of the Telkom sales, billing, support staff and their supervisors and managers know anything about it! I went to a Telkom store (as suggested on their web page) and purchased the "TI Entertainment Bolton". Was told it would be activated in 24 hours. On checking two days later, not yet working, called support and they told me I had purchased a "Do Gaming" package. Now THAT was discontinued sometime around September 2015! Numerous calls to 10210, 10212, visits to Telkom shop, emails to [email protected] and [email protected] over the last 12 days has achieved absolutely NOTHING. I'm beginning to doubt that the web advertisement was posted by Telkom; seems some clever hacker has had fun at Telkom's expense. Has anyone else had experience with Telkom's "TI Entertainment Bolton Package"?

Yes, I learnt the hard way unfortunately, I bought and it was just a good way to throw a R100 down the drain.
