Telkom Internet need information on an IP address

Hi

My wifes laptop was stolen yesterday. I have managed to track the IP to a Telkom internet ADSL ip address.

Does anyone know who to contact to get more details than only it is a Telkom Internet IP address.

The only way you will get details is to get the SAPS to send a subpoena (205) to Telkom .
The SAPS investigating officer must take care of this ,thats his job.

I have already reported it to SAPS last night. Just not sure if they will actually do anything.

I will call them at 9 to try find out who the investigating officer is.

Probably got dynamic DNS set up on the laptop - DynDNS, No-IP etc.

I don't know if your insurance company will be able to assist. Or perhaps they only assist with vehicle recoveries.
