So i used the Telkom line speed checker to determine what speed i can use on my number...
It says i can get 40mbps (on copper) so this would tell me that i could apply for a VDSL service.
that being said, after applying for a VDSL service (and buying a new modem) my line wont connect at all, few phone calls to telkom later and it seems i cant actually get VDSL on my line.
So my question is, can i use the line speed checker to PROVE that i can get that line speed and Telkom need to sort it out? or is it only a best guess and isn't really useful for an accurate representation of line speed at all.
basically I'm trying to determine if i can pursue the matter further to try and get VDSL based on the line speed checker of if its not worth it and i just stay on ADSL2+ (what an epic waste of money for a VDSL router).
