Hi All,
I am currently experiencing huge problems with my ADSL line in the Weltevreden Park, Gauteng area through the Panorama exchance and was wondering if anyone else in the area is experiencing the same problems?
I have a 4Mbps line and uncapped account with Mweb. It usually runs at 3Mbps as it kept dropping the sync at 4Mbps. It has been running fine for the last couple of months (except for about an hour during when the street lights switch on - it drops the line then) Since last week though we have been experiencing a drop in line sync every 15-20 minutes. I have dropped my line speed all the way down to 1Mbps and it still drops sync every 20 minutes or 30 minutes.
My Line Attenuation was sitting at 49.5. which is higher than it is normally but even with me dropping my line down to 1 Mbps the Attenuation has still stayed at 49.5, Which I thought with a slower speed it would improve the attenuation. I'm at the point where I want to just cancel my whole internet and hellkom accounts because it is so frustrating. I don't understand how it can be legal for Telkom
to be getting away with such bad service on a service where they hold the monopoly
