Telkom line speed upgrade

I have phoned telkom last saturday, to upgrade my line to 10mbps, the agent said it will take 24 hours,
till today it has not been done,

Any idea's?

Leave. I'm in the final week before my line and ADSL switch over to another ISP, and it's been a damn long 30-day notice period with Telkom, I tell ya.

The best part is Telkom doesn't even care. When I phoned to cancel, the rep asked me, 'Ok, so what's your reason for cancelling?' and I answered 'Constant buffering.' The rep just said, 'Aah, ok.' and that was that. Cheers mate.

Contrast that with Outsurance's amazing retentions department ... it's easier to murder your mother than leave Outsurance, and that's the truth. Best of all, they kill you with love, and increasingly better discounts and faster-talking retentions specialists :)

I miss the days when the speed change was instant...
on top of that, the agent promised me that it would not take longer than 24 hours
 
Wow, thanks for the heads-up, that was the quickest I ever got through to an agent AND got the right info!

I used their online chat, took me 10 mins to do an upgrade from 2Mbps to 4Mbps, was told to give it 72 hours, did that in the morning around eight, in the evening my router was already linked to 4096 until today, my order on MyTelkom close five days afterwards...Just my experience
 
my line is with another ISP. i've requested a line upgrade yesterday (09/03/2015 @ 16.35) At 14.51 today got an SMS from Telkom that my upgrade had been completed.

expecting a huge storm...
 
Just got off the line with someone at retentions/cancellations and got the 25% discount and upgraded to 4Mbps. She advised that the upgrade will only go through in 7 days. :wtf: Is this correct?? :wtf:
 
upgrade and discount,NICE! they mostly offer it when u cancel

but if u upgrade,u can phone telkom for a port reset, back in the day when i went from 1mbps to 2mbps
didnt get upgraded but yet they charged us for a 2mbps,phoned for a port reset then it went to 2mbps

but GL getting telkom to do a port reset right away,usaly the go with ,who is your isp do a speedtest all that ****,and dont listen to what u really want :/ and thats just a plain port reset
