Telkom local only

Hi GUys

When you are capped can Telkom Internet clients use the local
only cap to do email via outlook or can they only use webmail..

if your mail server and smtp server are hosted in South Africa then as far as i can tell you shhould have no problem.

You can use your Telkom local only to e-mail via Outlook, provided your using your Telkom provided email address, or another local hosted one (like webmail, I'm sure you can configure Outlook to use it.)

what is the smtp settings for telkom?

According to my subscription info sheet it's:

smtp.telkomsa.net

but I know that doesn't work, 'cos I had problems and had to phone them and ask. Consultant gave me a whole run-around getting me to check this and that when I knew exactly what I wanted. Oh well, at least they were helpfull.

You'll have to call them or search the forums, unless someone else knows...
