Hello

I recently relocated to Reitz from Sasolburg, now having internet there. Moving here is a huge difference. I used 8ta 3G in Sasolburg. Arriving in Reitz I wanted to test my connection. Then there was no coverage.

Doing some bit of research I went to Afrihost with their 3G Mobile package, had a little trouble with MTN activating my account but it is fixed now.

We are staying on a small holding, around the house is allot of loose telkom wires, now waiting 4 weeks for them to come and fix it, I want to know if I could connect the wires myself, just need a guide.

Want to see if I can get a dialing tone so I can get a telephone number so I can apply for a DSL line, cause Telkom is so wonderful I need a landline number to apply for a line fault.

If someone would be so kind and share a wire connection guide I will appreciate it.

THanks

If you connect the wires they definitely will not work , unless the previous tenant did not cancel their line .
The telephone system is just a two wire system.
DP (underground cable) then wires to your house and connected to your telephone.
You can see if any wires are live by testing with a meter , test the wires coming from the pole 50 to 60 volts DC.
