According to that map, all major cities JHB, CT, PE, KZN, are down, and my area is in a light yellow haze. Not very helpful.

Thank you for the link, though. It is something at least.

When you zoom in you will see its only a very small section in the major cities. In Pretoria as an example its the Rietfontien/Villieria area only (Where i'm in). When the map is not zoomed in it looks like the entire Pretoria is down. Same goes for the other Metro's.

I'm not entirely sure how Downdetector works or if it even does work for that matter, i called Telkom and according to them there is nothing wrong in Rietfontein/Villieria, but we also know how clued up the Telkom Service desk is....so who knows.

My bad. I only bothered to zoom in on CT for which a large part of the CBD is out.

How/where can we change the DNS settings? I have been having issues the last few days where most websites I can access but others that I used to routinely access I am no longer able to...they just time out and dont load. Its happening to more and more random sites, regular websites, not download sites or such. Any help?
