Up the creek without a GB
Hi All,

Following the advise on this forum, I decided to upgrade my 192 to a 384 before August. I called my favourite help desk and asked them to upgrade the line. I was told that they must to a credit check (which won't be a problem) before upgrading. Now bare in mind that I had a 384 and downgraded about a year ago and in addition to this have a R2K limit on my account which seldom goes over R650. Why the sudden need to do a credit check? In about 1 1/2 months time, the monthly fee will be less then what I am currently paying and they have indicated that the upgrade will take 6-8 weeks. I am now confused!

Some paranoid credit manager probably set this as procedure. Why? Don't ask me! If you don't pay they just cut your service lickety-split anyway.

A real customer centric procedure!

Just more proof of Papi loosing hold of Telkom - this is a real bad way of treating existing clients with an obvious good payment record.
