Telkom mail server down??

Hi,

I can`t seem to receive emails.
Request times out when I ping pop3.telkomsa.net.
I can ping smtp.dsl.telkomsa.net.

Does this mean the problem is on Telkom`s side?

Busy going through 4 days of mail on the online email thing on Telkom`s website.

I tried since i got ADSL again to get the TELKOM SMTP to work. I called them many times, they tried everything, they eventually escalated to complaint and nobody ever called back! I gave up! all other mail servers I setup works except Telkom. I can receive Telkom mail but not send. Thus they can shove it where they can't! They even want me to reconfigure my computer, take of security, do this do that. They are a bunch of @sshole W@nkers!

pupa, mine also didn't work, but some techie told me to use smtp.saix.net ,and it worked. Anyway, it took me quite a while to get something out of them...

We tried everything a list of about 5 servers all in vain!
