Hi,

I 'self provided' my fathers Telkom Mega 100wr router in August last year, and turned off wireless because he had no wireless devices. On Friday he got himself a wireless laptop.

I have tried to re-enable the wireless connection on the router, but the wireless light refuses to come on even after enabling the AP in the router's setup and "following the on-screen instructions" and the laptop cannot find the router.

I have tried re-configuring the router from both IE and Firefox, but no joy. Have also done a 'hard reset', but that doesn't turn on the wireless either.

I see there is new firmware available for the router, but the release notes don't mention anything about this problem, so I would rather leave that until I have exhausted all other options.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Phaedrus

The aerial may be loose, I didn't check that, but it is certainly there, though I would expect the wireless light to come on even if the aerial was unplugged from the unit altogether. The laptop has wireless, it works perfectly on my wireless network.

Should be for 24months, I had an issue with mine, I called Telkom, the support guy briefly gave me a ref num and I got a new one the next day at the Telkom shop :)

Thanks, I think that might be the best approach...
