I am at my parent's place for the weekend and they have a Mega 100WR.

I needed to get the WEP Key for my phone and accidentally reset the router when looking underneath it. After that the wireless stopped working. Nothing is being broadcast and the wireless LED comes on briefly at boot but after that it disappears for good. Ethernet works.

I've tried restoring factory settings, the reset button and even updated the firmware (as I noticed it was out of date) with no success. The settings all appear to be in order.

I am now trying to convince them to buy my old TP-Link router (I bought a new one recently) but it would be better if I could fix the problem for them. Any suggestions?

I had a 100WR back in the day. It was an awesome router but it was slightly problematic with WiFi. Did a couple of reset and it would work again.

You should give them the router cause you're the one who caused the problem.

True ;) Although you'd expect a router to withstand being picked up, I must take responsibility for my bad luck.

I'll keep trying then.
