My telkom SIM is in my Huawei LTE MiFi router, i don't want to have to take it out and put it in my phone everytime i want to check my remaining data.

So i downloaded the Telkom App and registered, until i got to the part where i have to verify the OTP. No matter what i do it says "Invalid ID/Passport and mobile combination" i have tried the actual number of the Telkom SIM, also tried my Vodacom number which i gave to the sales person at the Telkom store during purchase of the device, in both cases i receive the OTP and enter it, still same result. Even when i log in via their website. Same result.

Help please, is there an alternative ?

Do you have the same problem registering on the website telkom.co.za/eservices?

The other way to access it is normally through your browser to http://onnet.telkom.co.za/ but on both my tablet and on my phone with separate Telkom sims it wont access it currently, so they currently seem to have problem on their portal.

Have you tried the "My Telkom" link on the Telkom website ?

I can log in to my self service portal there for 3G so maybe your service is available from there as well ?

If I was able to capture the whole sequence on my mobile device I would show you how I click on "My Telkom" and then click on "Login instantly" (aka http://onnet.telkom.co.za/, if you inspect the source code of that button that where it links to) and it doesn't work, it just goes back to the "My Telkom" screen again, capish?

I can only currently log in with my account details on the other option and see all my accounts, but thats because it is set up long ago, but this guy can't get it setup, thus my assertion is that Telkom has a problem with their portal.

What happens when you click on "Login instantly" right now?

I logged in yesterday but logging in now with "Login instantly" does nothing. You are quite correct, apologies. :)

However "Login now using account details" still works" at the moment. Mine was also set up a while ago, like yours.

Send a blank sms to 188

Telkom will sms u your data balance, etc

Easier imo is to sign into router control panel and send ussd code *188#

I had a problem with the ussd codes on my Huawei B593's.. sent code, comes up blank.. so the sms worked

Never tried the ussd on the B315 modem.. will do so later :)

I think the Onnet portal is having issues again. Today it's redirecting me to the login page instead of the usual one I see when going to https://onnetsecure.telkom.co.za/onnet/public/mobileData (which conveniently also works even if you're out of data)

Alternative option: https://selfservice.telkom.co.za/digital/dashboard/ (You need to log in and I don't think it works when you're out of data)

Or use your router web admin page and ussd codes: *180# for the menu with options. You'll need to recharge with sufficient funds beforehand, e.g. by using your banking app. I see you can also recharge directly with FNB via the website / app if you know the sim's phone number.
