If anyone could offer any advice on the situation, I would be very grateful.
Basically 2 years and 3 months ago, I took out a contract with Telkom Mobile. Originally they had said that I could up the plan during the contract. 9 months into the contract I chose a higher plan with more minutes, I was assured that my contract would still end within the same time.
Now, the contract is supposed to be up but Telkom (the call center) is saying that I cancelled the old plan and restarted a new plan and that I should be paying a penalty fee on the old contract. Even if Telkom did do this, I should have received more than the 1 phone and 1 sim that I received.
I took this out from the T&C:
"An upward migration refers to the scenario when the subscriber wishes to move to a package of a
higher subscription than the existing package, during the fixed term portion of the agreement.
The subscriber may upward migrate without any penalties at any time during the fixed term
agreement.
The subscribers shall retain accumulated bundle allocations when doing an upward migration.
The subscriber shall continue with the existing agreement, and shall not be considered to have
entered into a new agreement based on the migration request.
Upward migrations are limited to one instance per calendar month only"
I was thinking of blocking the payments but I think my credit record may be affected.
Any advice ?
