I want to use this router as a range extender with its repeat function.
However, when I try to set it up I get the following message:

"The wireless security options WPS-PSK(TKIP), WPA2-PSK (AES), and WPS-PSK(TKIP) + WPA2-PSK (AES) are not available if you enable wireless repeating function. Please change your security option before you enable wireless repeating function"

So I am then left with 2 options, no security or WEP (very insecure) to enable repeating??

Unfortunately DD-WRT does not support the DGN2200M as yet.

Any suggestions?

You won't find official DD-WRT builds for ADSL modems at all!

My dad bought a TP-Link Range Extender and it supports WPA2-PSK.

Not having security is not an option.
A range extender with this router would seem to be a better option.
I presume you are putting another wireless router elsewhere and hence the reason to connect. Could you not consider using a cable to connect the 2 routers?

Spoke to a very clued up tech at Duxbury - he told me that higher level security from repeating is not possible for this unit.
You are essentially weakening security by adding it as a wireless repeater because it cant handle AES or TKIP.
Told me that a proper repeater would be able to pass higher encryption traffic.
