Telkom Netgear Router

Hi I wonder if this is happening to anybody else. I recently got a Netgear router from Telkom. Everything is working great, but one problem. Whenever this router starts working, for example if I am watching something from my laptop through apple Tv which goes through my home network the router keeps rebooting itself. This basically happens when the router is handling a lot of data. If anybody has a solution to this problem please help

1) Are you using a WiFi connection to connect via that Netgear router?
2) What is the exact model number of that router?

Also feel how hot the router is when it reboots. Might be that it overheats.

Also check that your firmware is up to date.

Is this a new unit or have you had it for some time? Routers normal start failing after 2 to 3 years,
Some new units are DOA, and do that, I've seen it happen with Billion routers as well.

How much of data is going via the router? maybe you should have a switch on your home network and only use the router internet connectivity...?
