Hi all

Has anyone been able to find the stock firmware for the Netgear VEVG2660 router?

The original router is awesome
http://www.netgear.com/service-providers/products/telco/gateways/vevg2660.aspx

But the Telkom one is quite limited by the firmware
http://www.netgear.co.za/telkom/vevg2660.html

I am especially interested in the scheduled network tasks feature that is present in the original firmware. I am hoping use this to switch between the 100gb Vox account and Vox bolt on.

The original router also had 5ghz Wifi, AC spec, etc

Thanks

Not sure if you can just over write the firmware.

The only reason I thought I might be able to do it, is because you could overwrite the MWEB Fon router with the original Technicolor firmware

s anyone else experiencing and problems with Telkom's VEVG2660 Netgear router? I am not the brightest when it comes to setting up comms between my branches, so I use Telkom's VPNlite, because I found the setup relatively straight forward! Telkom supplied routers come with a VPN setup utility to config the the routers! Mainly I have been using the Billions & Netgear routers, things have been going well until my Netgear DGN 2200 gave up the ghost, telkom replaced it with the new monster Netgear VEVG2660, the VPN setup wizard doesn't seem to work, it save my settings but now I can't connect to my server, I ping the IP's addresses of the server and router, and both respond but my server will not let me remote connect, on telkoms VPNLite web site, it tells me my VPN is connected!

Any ideas please!
