Telkom not ripping off poor

This is also the leadership that ensures the delivery of community projects under the auspices of the Telkom Foundation. The foundation’s principal objective is to contribute to the transformation of disadvantaged communities through sustainable development programmes in all nine provinces. These programmes help address the disparities between the advantaged and disadvantaged communities, especially those in rural areas.

The allegation, therefore, that Telkom is loading the dice against the poor is nothing more than a gross misunderstanding of Telkom’s product positioning. Multiple packages that accommodate different customer needs give our customers to choose the product that suits them best.
Sickening. Can't manage to read the whole article <vomit> How about providing telephones that EVERYONE can afford??! How about servicing the country - instead of raping a select few!!?

 :(

Ha Ha. Telkom is busy with equity. Ripping off the rich and the poor alike.

thats why cellphones are soooooo much more attractive to them, you pay no rental thats kinda like a black hole, and when you spend its per sec? .. then again cell costs are expensive too.

Lulu Letlape is qauite right - Tepkom are not ripping off the poor, they're ripping of everyone. Here's what's on offer in UK from an organisation called "talktalk":
".... broadband comes as part of a very reasonable telephone package - £9.95 a month for virtually all UK calls, plus calls to Europe, US, Canada, Oz and NZ (sadly not SA), any time of day and up to 70 minutes per call."

I rest my uninformed case!
