Hi all..
I posted a few months ago, in extreme frustration due to Telkom continuing to bill me for a line, I requested to be cancelled two months prior, well after complaints on their Facebook Timeline, Hellopeter, and here, someone contacted me, and "Corrected" the issue, the guy who contacted me, "cancelled" the services, while I was speaking to him on the phone, and in that instance my bill was far less, so I paid the bill.
Fastforward to the end of August, as I logged on to pay my bill, a weeks prior, the Telkom portal told me that I had a bill of just over R500, I was hit with a bill of over R1000, when I contacted Telkom, I was told that my second line hadn't infact been cancelled, and I am still being charged for that line, and I was advised to contact their sales team, to get a reference number, and then contact the accounts desk again. When I contacted the sales team, I was advised, "No, I need to get a reference from the accounts team first", and I hung up, as I don't have the time for this yet again.
I am a SASSA beneficiary, and as a result, I can't afford to be messed around. Telkom needs to be clear, we are upgrading to fibre, and I am switching ISPs (our area will be live mid September), so this month would have been the last paying month with Telkom, and as a result, I have no problem with not paying if this isn't, as another disappointing bonus, last month our internet performance has been horrendous, with non stop buffering, and just general sluggishness.
