I feel like I need my swear jar for this post.

Last night, I was unable to stream DSTV, which I naturally blamed on them. I noticed that I also couldn't access the iOS App Store or Accuweather on my phone and saw that my connection was really slow. Fast forward to this morning. none of those things working, but speedtest returned to normal. On my school run, I stopped for a coffee and on Vodacom everything worked fine.

This is where the angry part comes in. I tried using the Telkom online channels to query or log something and you can get abso-***king-lutely nowhere without a phone number. I have an unbundled fibre line, I have no phone number. I suppose you can't get complaints if people cant make them. I have now asked for a callback via the Telkom app, let's see what happens.

Anyways - anybody else struggling with the same connectivity issues?

I've spent an enjoyable 24 minutes on the phone with a Telkom consultant that had me look at which wire is between the router and ONT and that kind of thing. After AGAIN explaining that I am connected to the internet, but only some of it is working, so it is not the wire's fault; he said that there is an area outage (Clubview, Centurion if anybody is interested) and that they will in due course assign this call to a technician whom might take it upon him/her/theirself to fix the area outage or to come and visit me where I might or might not get charged a callout fee depending on who actually f*cked up the line. I would really like for them to fix it before the 'Boks play again, if that isn't too much to ask.

It seems it has gone belly up again tonight. Changing DNS doesn't help either.

Yip, I see it's back to k@k again after I posted on their FB page, they contacted me and reset. It was fine from Friday till yesterday.

Time for a cheaper alternative I suppose.
