i am located in Pinelands, Cape Town area, my 10 Mbps line drops down to less than 5 Mbps, every evening, assume due to congestion, is this a general condition all across SA or just localized..
Telkom's attitude is take it or leave it

Definitely localized to your area / connection. Are you sure you have an Openserve line? Because if your area is served by Frogfoot, then they're the responsible network operator to investigate your problem via your ISP

When you experience slow speeds change to a cheap or free account to test.

Get a free 1GB account from Axxess and test. If the axxess account is full speed the your issue is with Telkom ISP and the fibre line.

The fibre provider is Openserve, but thanks for the guest account idea.
sorry. Frogfoot was a mental lapse on my part

from what i can see it is only on DSL not fibre, is that correct ?
