Just a thought by doing P2P SkyPE and so on are we not taking revenue from Telkom by excluding these call from there PSTN. So if they are loosing revenue here why would they allow high speed connection on the P2P link? I say they are most probably chocking these connections to try and stop any P2P traffic. Also remember that most of these links like LimeWire would take international routes, this once again would force them to have to increase the bandwidth on the international link. Now we know that most people when using P2P downloading do this in a great way. So if it becomes so slow like it now is why use these services? Once again this would take away quite a bit of traffic from the international link.

My question is I pay for my 512 pipe and it was fast when I got it some time back. Now Telkom wants to tell me what I can use it for, I don’t think so!

I think we all deserve some sort of answer from our ADSL provider?

Dont worry bout the Telkom fools, have a look at our FreeProxy service.

Dedicated Unshaped International Bandwidth?

I had a look at your services. I think this could work out rather pricy? There also seem to be restrictions on this. What I want is what I had in the beginning with my 512 ADSL. Not what Telkom has now decided that I can have because they are running out of bandwidth?

slowgo - I was refering to freeproxy, its free, read the forum.. The VPN is just the original method to get pure unshaped from local to international, which is optimal for low reliable ping.

The VPN tho have no restrictions at all, yes it works out pricy but some people really need that kind of service.

Freeproxy is best effort and offers great value.
