Hi, i've got one of these nasty little Telkom adsl routers, it calls itself the 'Premium Combo', it doesn't do half bridging out of the box so I had to folow some telnetting instructions to get it working.
thing is, the router's own PPPoE connection seems to limited to port 80, or HTTP traffic, this is not that much of a problem as the only other two devices that i don't dial PPPoE connections from i only use for browsing the net anyway, but every now and then it becomes a pain in the ass, for instance i can't download my email on my iphone over wifi cos there's no PPPoE dialup on the iphone...
does anyone know why the router's own PPPoE connection is limited to HTTP traffic? is it maybe a firewall thing? i don't know much about the advanced settings on the router so i'm clueless
thanks in advance!
