My sister is having a massive headache trying to get Telkom to sort out a problem.

She moved four months ago to a new address in the same town. She requested Telkom to move her service to a new address. The date was confirmed, everything seemed to be in order. A month went by and there was no sign of a Telkom technician to install her service. She phoned them to enquire and was told that someone on their end didn't finalize the order properly and the whole thing was cancelled. She wasn't notified about this and for the duration of her stay at the new place, the line at the old place was still active.

They pushed through the order and the technician came a few days later to get her up and running again. End of the month came, her invoice was massive. Installation fee, monthly fee for the new place and the old place.

A lengthy phonecall later and they promised her they would credit the account, kill the old line and things would be back to normal.

Next month came, balance even bigger. Still getting charged for two lines. Back on the phone with Telkom for two hours trying to get them to fix their ****. Promises, etc things will be fixed.

Next month came. Even bigger outstanding amount. Still charged for two lines. Arrears on old place is insanely huge. Old line STILL active. At the Telkom shop at the mall now with a whole bunch of loud f's and u's. "Sorry we can't help you you must phone 10210". The biggest bitch fit the world has ever seen starts and finishes. Back on the phone with Telkom.

Instructed to fill out a form to cancel the old service and may or may not be credited for fees at the old place. A few hours later gets an email that the old line will be cut off 21st March only.

Fast forward to today. Services suspended due to non-payment.

Well done, Telkom. *applause*
