Telkom RCS support for IPHONE IOS 18

Telkom is making use of Google Jibe, same as Vodacom to provide RCS. From what I have read and how I understand it, RCS needs to be provided by your carrier themselves, not through Google for it to work on IOS 18.

Why tonight? If Apple requires the network to support RCS themselves on their own IMS core and not via Google Jibe, that is not going to change tonight.

I was about to say the same thing, if didnt show on the Beta's or release candidate what would have changed from last night to tonight.

Missed the own IMS core part. Was hoping the release would come with a carrier update but if Apple isn't allowing Google Jibe then :/

Why Can't I see RCS Messaging in iOS 18 on iPhone?

Updated to iOS 18 and can't find the new RCS Messaging option on your iPhone? There's a reason for that.

Looks like it not available yet but I think I remember Telkom offering RCS back when I was using a Samsung… or was that cellc…
