I never thought that I would complement them...but this time I really feel the need to let you guys know what awesome service I've received from them.
My wife and I bought a new house about a month ago...still need to move in. The house didn't have a telephone line, so I had to go through the entire process of getting a telephone line, ADSL, etc. I ordered the new line on Friday the 1st of December 2006. On Friday the 8th of December, I received a call from Telkom saying the technician would like to come to my house to install the line. I said...ok this is too good to be true. Anyways...30 minutes later the guy phones me telling me he would like to meet me at the new place. I went there, he pulled through the line and told me only next week the contractor might come and put in the actual point and enable the line.
Now this is the best part. Just as I arrived back at work, Telkom phoned me again and asked me whether the contractor could come out the Saturday (9th of December) to put in the point and activate the new line. Holy ****e...of course please send him!
To end off....one week installation time...not 2 months or 3 months. The line is up and running and I'm getting full download speed 4096kbps and full upload speed 384kbps. I'm less then 2km from the exchange.
I know we all hate them, but they are really starting to impress me...if they keep at it like this, I will not move to another Service provider.
Anyone else experienced this lately?
