Hi,

Can somebody please tell me what telkoms' policy on refunding line rental payments for downtime is.

I have experienced adsl sync problems since sunday the 13'th, and this issue is still unresolved.

I logged the problem the following monday on telkom's website, and they phoned me about 10 minutes after I logged it, but I was unable to answer since I was in a meeting at that time. They didn't leave a message.

I phoned them a few times afterwards, but I cannot get any updates on how this fault request is being handled.

I think that if your problem is not resolved within 24-hours of a problem ticked was created at Telkom, you can claim a refund for every 24 hours downtime thereafter.
So, find out when your ticket was opened and work from there.

Oh, bear in mind that the "refund" is only credit granted on your next bill.

Ok, that would be fine. Today it will be 9 days after the first 24 hours.

With all this trouble, I can always be sure that their billing system wouldn't have any problems.

They are normally pretty good with stuff like this. As long as you have kept all the reference numbers.

yes they pretty good at refunds we have been refunded by them a few times when we first got adsl at home just keep a record of the days times and reference numbers.

Ok, thats good to hear. Still have the reference number.

Telkom gives you a refund for the time that you are offline! But who wants their stupid refund when all you want is for the internet to actually work!!
