Hi

I am having some issues with Telkom.... (be nice, I know)

Cancelled my data with them and gave 1 months notice as required to move the line on the 28th of last month - so line will be moved 28 March.

Bought a data Package from the new ISP but now Telkom has decided to cancel the line whilst in the process of moving it to the holding pool. For the last 3 days we being sent from pillar to post to get the line active... No one can help.

Apparently I now have to cancel the move request for the line to be activated.... But no one can tell me what then happens at month end... Will I need to give another month's notice and be without Internet again?

Yes they have sent me a bill showing charge for the line for this month but cannot activate it.



Just wanted to find out if there is still a Telkom rep on this site... I messaged telkomza yesterday but no response.

Finally got through to a lady that says the line is in the wholesale pool... And I must get hold of afrihost to move it...

So let's see what happens in 48 hours
 
Not anymore. I changed jobs a few months back.

(Still a happy Telkom Internet user, but depressed that the other parts of Telkom haven't made any progress on the self-service here)

Why would you move the line?
1.Bundle discount.
2. Any issues with the line are logged with afrihost.. Never have to hold 30+ minutes to get through to Telkom hoping that the person you get through to knows what they doing
3. Call center / support works extended hours.... Not always possible to deal with adsl issues before 5 or 6

I log a fault online. It always worked to either get fixed or they say they're aware of it (Telkom).
